  • Centralizes the management of multiple trials in a single system.

Digitization has revolutionized the way scientific research is conducted.

Control Research Advantages

Error reduction and improved accuracy.

Digitization automates data collection, reducing errors and improving accuracy. Recording information every 5 minutes from sensors and actuators allows for more detailed analysis and constant monitoring, eliminating dependence on manual records and minimizing human errors.

However, some research centers require daily manual measurements with calibrated sensors, such as in fish experiments, where technicians use handheld oximeters. Before Control Research, these values were recorded on paper and then transcribed to Excel, duplicating work and increasing the risk of introducing errors.

With our software, technicians enter manual data directly into the platform from a tablet or smartphone, optimizing workflow and ensuring data integrity without the need for paper records.

Centralized access to information

All experiment data is stored on a secure platform accessible from any device, enabling collaborative work among research teams.

Time and Resource Optimization

Automating data collection and analysis allows researchers to focus on analysis and innovation, rather than administrative tasks.

Regulatory compliance and traceability

Meets regulatory requirements through detailed and auditable records, ensuring data validity and transparency in experimental processes.

How does Control Research work?

Its use is intuitive and based on a modular structure that allows research centers to adapt it to their needs.

02 Application Launch

      • Automatic recording of data from sensors.
      • Visualization of dynamic graphs with key variables.
      • Generation of alerts for out-of-range values.

04 Analysis and report generation

      • Analysis of historical results.
      • Data export and automated reports.

The components of Control Research

Control Research (Cloud Platform)

The core of the system. A web platform accessible from any browser, hosted in the cloud, which centralizes all the information from all connected centers. It manages experiments, stores monitored data, and allows visualization, analysis, and reporting.

Control Research Comms Box

A compact electrical panel with a programmable 4G modem. It allows connection to existing equipment and sensors in the research center, collects their data, and sends it to the Cloud platform. It does not require changes to the installed infrastructure and is compatible with most industrial technologies.

Control Aqua Box

A monitoring kit specially designed for aquaculture research centers. It features an integrated HMI screen, models with 4, 8, or 16 MODBUS probes, which can cover large distances, and also has analog and digital inputs/outputs. The kit can control water pumps, heating systems, feeder systems, lighting systems, and can also send alarms. It communicates with Control Research through the Comms Box to automatically upload data to the cloud and link it to experiments.

What if I already have a center with existing equipment?

Control Research has been designed to adapt to any reality. Whether you’re building a new research center or already have an established infrastructure with installed control equipment, our technical team can help you digitize your system without having to completely change it.

We study your installation, identify how to access the relevant information generated by your equipment, and integrate it directly into our platform. For example, in aquaculture research centers, we are able to connect with both RAS systems and open-circuit installations, extracting key values such as oxygen, temperature, flow rate, pH, lighting, among others.

Control Research Comms Box

The Comms Box is a compact electrical panel equipped with a programmable 4G modem, which acts as a communication gateway between your physical equipment and the Control Research cloud platform.

  • It connects to the center’s Ethernet network to communicate with different systems.
  • It communicates with all types of industrial equipment (PLCs, controllers, sensors, etc.).
  • It extracts key data and automatically uploads it to the Control Research platform.
  • It is not necessary to replace existing equipment: it adapts to the already installed infrastructure.

With this device, it is possible to progressively digitize a center without altering its current operations.

Control Aqua Box

The Aqua Box is a monitoring kit designed specifically for aquaculture research centers. It incorporates an HMI screen for local data visualization, multiple inputs and outputs, and compatibility with a wide range of probes and sensors.

  • Available in versions for 4, 8, and 16 probes.
  • Available probes for PT100 temperature, oxygen, salinity, pH, ORP, turbidity, ammonia, level, ambient temperature/humidity, lighting, and more.
  • Capable of controlling water pumps, heating systems, feeder systems, lighting systems, and other critical elements.
  • Automatic alarm dispatch and direct connection with Control Research via Comms Box.
It has extension cables for probes up to 40 meters (and longer upon request).

Thanks to this kit, it is possible to provide advanced monitoring to systems that previously operated manually or with low connectivity.
