- Centralize the management of multiple trials in a single system.
Digitization has revolutionized the way scientific research is carried out.
Control Research benefits
Reduced errors and improved accuracy.
Digitization automates data collection, reducing errors and improving accuracy. Recording information every 5 minutes from sensors and actuators enables more detailed analysis and constant oversight, eliminating reliance on manual logs and minimizing human error.
However, some research centers require daily manual measurements with calibrated sensors, such as in fish experiments, where technicians use handheld oximeters. Before Control Research, these values were recorded on paper and then transcribed into Excel, doubling the work and increasing the risk of introducing errors.
With our software, technicians enter manual data directly into the platform from a tablet or smartphone, optimizing the workflow and ensuring data integrity without the need for paper records.
Centralized access to information
All experiment data is stored on a secure platform accessible from any device, enabling collaborative work among research teams.
Time and resource optimization
Automating data collection and analysis allows researchers to focus on analysis and innovation rather than administrative tasks.
Regulatory compliance and traceability
Meets regulatory requirements through detailed, auditable records, ensuring data validity and transparency in experimental processes.

Control Research components
Control Research (Cloud Platform)
The core of the system. A web platform accessible from any browser, hosted in the cloud, that centralizes all information from all connected centers. It manages experiments, stores monitored data, and enables visualization, analysis, and reporting.
Control Research Comms Box
A compact electrical cabinet with a programmable 4G modem. It connects to the existing equipment and sensors in the research center, collects their data, and sends it to the Cloud platform. It requires no changes to the installed infrastructure and is compatible with most industrial technologies.
Control Aqua Box
A monitoring kit specially designed for aquaculture research centers. It features an integrated HMI screen, 4-, 8-, or 16-probe MODBUS models that can cover long distances, and also includes analog and digital inputs/outputs. The kit can control water pumps, heating systems, feeder systems, lighting systems, and can also send alarms. It communicates with Control Research via the Comms Box to automatically upload data to the cloud and link it to experiments.
What if I already have a center with existing equipment?
We study your installation, identify how to access the relevant information generated by your equipment, and integrate it directly into our platform. For example, in aquaculture research centers, we can connect to both RAS systems and open-circuit facilities, extracting key values such as oxygen, temperature, flow rate, pH, lighting, among others.
Control Research Comms Box
- It connects to the center’s Ethernet network to communicate with the different systems.
- It communicates with all types of industrial equipment (PLCs, controllers, sensors, etc.).
- It extracts key data and automatically uploads it to the Control Research platform.
- No need to replace existing equipment: it adapts to the infrastructure already installed.
With this device, it is possible to progressively digitize a center without altering its current operations.
Control Aqua Box
- Available in versions for 4, 8, and 16 probes.
- Available probes include PT100 temperature, oxygen, salinity, pH, ORP, turbidity, ammonia, level, ambient temperature/humidity, lighting, and more.
- Capable of controlling water pumps, heating systems, feeder systems, lighting systems, and other critical elements.
- Automatic alarm sending and direct connection to Control Research via Comms Box.
Includes extension cables for probes up to 40 meters (and longer on request).
Thanks to this kit, it is possible to provide advanced monitoring to systems that previously operated manually or with low connectivity.
Control Research, Comms Box, and Aqua Box provide tailored digitization for your research center

PROJECT: CONTROL RESEARCH INGESOM
Within the 2024 business R plan of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE), through the INNOVA – TeiC programme.
The company INGESOM CONTROL Y DIGITALIZACION INDUSTRIAL, S.L. took part by carrying out the project “CONTROL RESEARCH INGESOM”, file number: IMINOK/2023/96.
This project involved the design and development of a new multi-tenant software solution that enables users to automate experiment management in research centres. This web-based platform will bring together each and every user of the solution, improving process management and efficient control, effective communication, automation, and the reliability of experiments.
The project was funded by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and co-funded by the European Union through the FEDER Operational Programme of the Valencian Community 2021–2027.
